Business litigation attorney Veronika Short is of counsel with the firm.
Ms. Short joined the California State Bar in 2003 after attending the University of San Francisco School of Law. At USF, she distinguished herself by completing the prestigious Civil Litigation Clinic and graduating in the top third of her class.
Her current practice focuses on business and general civil litigation. Ms. Short is an experienced trial attorney who has tried to verdict over twelve jury and bench trials. Prior to joining DPA Law Group, Ms. Short was an associate with a San Francisco commercial and business litigation firm, where she represented companies in employment and workers’ compensation matters. Ms. Short also practiced at a personal injury firm in San Jose, where she represented individuals in matters of varying complexity from inception through discovery, alternative dispute resolution and trial.
Ms. Short is originally from Russia and received a United States Congressional scholarship to attend high school in the United States. She went on to study philosophy at Santa Clara University and earned a baccalaureate degree with high honors. She has been published in the International Undergraduate Journal of Philosophy, STOA, in the area of bioethics and human rights.
